    It's not a great sounding word. When I was young I used to get it confused with, ahem, another word. I remember some grand family gathering - my grandmother had a large house and loved to entertain - where most of the crowd were sat around after a big lunch. I was out in the back garden with my great-uncle, who I knew had a heart condition. I thought he looked a bit peaky, so while he sat down to rest I ran back into the house and blurted out that 'he might need his vagina pills'. The roar of laughter still rings in my ears.

    I hate the way vagina is conflated with vulva. You have to be very very intimate to see anyone's vagina. Vulva is such a nice word, why do so many insist misnaming the vulva vagina?

    @nesdon. I agree. I see the word vagina misused in mainstream print media. PARIS HILTON FLASHES VAGINA. FORGETS TO WEAR UNDERWEAR. I hear it on TV by people who should know the difference. "Learning how to lose vagina fat can be difficult and even frustrating at times but it is not impossible! Take the time to dedicate to your fitness and health and you will begin to see results. Create a healthy diet plan and a regular workout routine and you will be well on your way. Get started today and burn that unwanted vagina fat!" I find it particularly sad when women don't know their own body parts.
